VisitSantaOnline.com is looking for smart, responsible Chathosts to video chat with families this fall! You will be paid on a per-minute basis. You set your own price and schedule!
In order to qualify, you MUST:
- Have a fast PC or Mac with a High Speed Cable or DSL modem and be willing to forgo your wireless router/wifi and wire into your modem.
- Have or be willing to obtain a good quality CAMERA WITH A MICROPHONE (Good quality cams are as affordable as $30!)
All information that you enter will remain strictly confidential. Upon receipt of your application, you will hear from us within 24 hours. We will schedule a phone call and forward a simple yet informative guide to our site and software so you'll have all the pertinent info at your fingertips. Additionally, we're available for one-on-one online training by appointment or via the schedule (look for screen-name "ElfMorton"!)
Chathost Pictures: On the following page, you will be asked to upload 3 pictures of yourself in costume please. These will go a long way toward enticing families to want to visit you, so make them good! These three are: One thumbnail sized picture (150 pixels wide and 86 pixels high), one full-size picture (320 x 240), and one that's at least 500 pixels. If you receive an error, it's most likely because the photo is the incorrect format (please upload jpgs to be safe) or it's too large. If you'd like, we'd be happy to resize your photos. Simply email them to info@webchatswithcharacter.com and we'll lend a hand!
Screen-name: You are limited to 9 characters, and you may only select numbers or letters. Please keep in mind that you are the REAL LIVE SANTA CLAUS; We're positioning this as a site offering multiple Santa chatrooms (i.e. cameras and/or rooms in Santa's Village), not multiple Santas. We'd prefer you NOT pick names like "SantaJoe," "Ted87," etc. The goal is to keep children and families feeling like they are speaking with the one and only Santa Claus...not Mike57 who also happens to portray Santa every 10 months. It would be good if, when faced with two or more Santas online at a time, children will feel like they are merely seeing a different setting or even camera angle featuring the REAL LIVE SANTA! Please add your own personal spin (you are selling yourself and this is an extension of your business after all), but please keep in mind that we are trying to portray this as multiple webcams in Santa's Village in the North Pole...please try to keep this site's magic going as much as possible!
